Hi All,

Sorry this is way too much information but I'm in a panic! I have a horrible dragging pain in my lower back and roughly where my ovaries are, and a feeling like something is stuck in my cervix- the same kind of (excruciating knee wobbly type )pain I've had in the past when I had a IUD inserted and had smear tests. It comes in waves and is worse in the afternoons and when I stand up it feels like I have something in my vaginal opening, but only when I stand up. I also feel flu-y with achy bones and a sore throat and general shakes though maybe this is not related. Has anyone had any experience of this?

It doesn't really sound like one TBH.
I had mine repaired and I had a bulgy-falling out feeling, a feeling of slackness and it was worse after a day on my feet.

You should also be able to tell by fishing- if you can feel your cervix low down or any really soft bulges....near the entrance.

Hi Amelia,

Thanks for the reply! there is a soft bulgey bit at the entrance but it goes away when I lie down. Just feel like there is an enormous weight in my pelvic floor, the same as the last few weeks of pregnancy. Worried sick as this has been going on for weeks now. :(

Hi - I have a similar problem and I think it is varicose veins. Have had it since the kids were born. Have a bulgy bit when it feels very heavy and it is worse if I have been standing up all day. I did google it and found this which pretty much describes my symptoms - might be worth a look? www.veindirectory.org/content/pelvic-congestion-syndrome.asp

Thanks Footie and Greenday,

I think I'm off to the docs. Draggy pain is now ridiculously bad so fingers crossed they can do something!
