Help period won't stop

I'm on day 16 right now & I don't know what to do as it shows no signs of stopping.
It's not really heavy but I'm so exhausted & have a constant headache. I've started an iron supplement, I'm going to have to go to the doctors I know.

I'm feeling rather scared & sorry for myself Sad

Has anyone had experience of similar?

I'm definitely not pregnant, I'm in my mid thirties I have two children aged 7 & 9.

What is happening to me?

If you have an out of hours walk in service then I'd go there this afternoon. I had this last year and was put on Progesterone - which did stop the period (although it did make me very weepy and low, and that's apparently not uncommon - be warned). It's probably just a one-off hormonal blip - I was told to go back if it happened again, and it hasn't re-occurred, thank goodness. But get yourself checked - my Dr just prescribed the progesterone over the phone and faxed a prescription through to my chemist.

Oooh thankyouthankyouthankyou Hassled.

I was feeling a bit hysterical about it. OK will get myself to docs as soon as I physically can.

Again thank you

This has happened to me several times(have PCOS and endometriosis amongst other things!)
Basically due to hormones, lining just kept getting thicker. Once I got given hormones to 'clear me out' and twice have had to have a D@C. It is not always 'sinister' but definitely get it checked out. The first time I had this I bled for 6 months( sometimes very heavily) while it was checked out. Also had to have various vaginal scans( but that isin Germany where they are common. They are not scary or painful though!)
HTH and good luck!

Thank you.

I was feeling really scared & alone. Was thinking all sorts.

I've never had this & just to be constantly bleeding is so very very frightening.

Bizarrely I didn't even realise till I noticed it getting heavier & then it suddenly occurred to me I've been on my period since Christmas Shock

Thank you both so much.
