White spot on baby's nipple

Does anyone know what this could be? DS has had a little spot right on one nipple for a few months. It's a pimply sort of spot which looks as if it's fluid-filled. No inflammation at the edge. It isn't getting bigger or smaller and doesn't seem to cause him any discomfort. I keep forgetting to mention it to the GP and haven't wanted to make a special trip.
I was expecting it to have gone by now.

is your ds breast fed? bf babies can develop breast 'buds'. lumps and bumps cuased by your hormones. as long as it is no red or angry looking, not weaping or giving ds probs, it should be fine and will eventually dissapear.

Oh my ds3 had this last year and it lasted for months before I finally took him to the doctor and she had no idea what it was either! I assume it has now gone otherwise I would still be worrying about it. Hmm...will have to look again tomorrow.

Anyway, it wasn't anything to worry about.

I first noticed it while he was still b/feeding. But I stopped 4 mths ago and it's still there
Lonelymum, I guess that's reassuring... that though your GP didn't have a clue what it was, she knew it wasn't worth worrying about . Doctors, huh

Ok, I have just been listening to LBC and they had a guest on from Phoenix Survivors Trust who was herself prostituted, with her sisters, from babyhood. Her name is Shy Keenan.

Obviously we're all appalled by this crime, but we should also be appalled by the leniency of the sentent. Apparently, if anyone objects to a sentence handed down, we can raise our objections to the Attorney General and the volume of complaints will be taken into account. The lady siad that they have already had some sentencs increased so it's got to be a worth a go, hasn't it!

I don't think you can email the AG, but here are his contact details:

ATTORNEY GENERAL
The Rt Hon Lord Goldsmith QC

ADDRESS
Attorney General?s Chambers
9 Buckingham Gate
London
SW1E 6JP
Tel: 020 7271 2400
FAX: 020 7271 2454

You need to give the details of the case in your letter. these are (and I apologise for naming these 'people', but it's in a good cause)
Alan Webster - sentenced to life, with a recommendation to serve a minimum of 12 years - and can apply for parole after 6 years.
Tanya French - sentenced to 5 years.
The case was heard at St Albans Crown Court and the judge was Findlay Baker QC.

So, shall we give it a go? I'm going to be doing it as it seems to be something concrete we can do. I'm not generally much of a crusader and I don't speak out much, but I thought I should bring this to your attention as I didn't know how many people would head the radio.

BP, I have just checked ds3's nipple again and I can confirm that his pimple has now gone. I think he got it around last February when he was 2 years old, and he saw the doctor in the summer some time. The pimple didn't go straight away (I have just remembered, the GP suggested I tried Fucidin cream on it but that did not make any difference) but, as I say, it has now gone away. I am not sure when it went, but he could only have had it a maximum of 10 months.

I agree with you, I was not sure whether to be reassured by the GP's ignorance or not! I suppose I felt slightly reassured because I thought it obviously wasn't anything well known and serious, like cancer.
