Coming off buserelin, what side effect did you experience?

I'm just coming to the end of a six month induced menopause for treatment of endometriosis and I'm experiencing various symptoms. Just wondered what symptoms others had experienced in the same situation?

No real help, I'm afraid, but didn't want you to go unanswered. I have taken Buseralin 4 times for IVF, to induce a menopause prior to taking ovarian stimulating medication, so it's not really the same thing as what you're going through with side effects. I was happy to get away from the hot flushes, night sweats and headaches that Buseralin gave me.

It might help if you posted what your symptoms are, so any others can compare?

Thanks Yoko.

I'm getting the return of my endometriosis symptoms, pain on my right side and general cramping, but I'm also aching all over. I thought initially that I was going down with something with it being the time of year for bugs to be flying about, but the aching has been going on for over a week now with no other virusy symptoms. I'm beginning to think it's hormone related.....

Although, I also can't wait for the end of hot flushes and night sweats!!

As I didn't take Buseralin for endometriosis, my cycle returned to normal when I stopped taking it, pregnancy aside Grin. My only symptoms were my lack of any more symptoms and a firm understanding of what my mother went through with her menopause. Again, I am not much help, but I would be concerned if you are getting pelvic/period pain again.

Was the Buseralin not prescribed by a Consultant rather than a GP? Can you speak to him/her instead?

It was prescribed by a consultant, I had my last injection at the start of October so things should be wearing off I think, if the mahoosive tender breasts are anything to go by! It's a good idea to speak to my consultant, I'll call his office tomorrow. Thanks Yoko.
