Hi all,
Have just finished my period and have noticed a small, pea sized lump inside my vagina on the right hand side a little way inside. No pain. Was wondering whether this is a polyp?
If so how are they removed?
I will get it checked out asap but I'm not concerned.

I HAVE just started using a mooncup last month though...would that cause one where it was rubbing inside perhaps?

Sorry for way TMI Blush

Cysts and other lumps and bumps are really common on the vulva and at the entrance of the vagina. If you don't have any other symptoms (e.g. pain, abnormal discharge) and you haven't had a new sexual partner in the last 3 months, I'd give it a couple of weeks and see if it goes. Sometimes they are just a bit of inflammation and settle by themselves. If it hasn't gone within 2 weeks, definitely see your GP. If you have had a new sexual partner in the last 3 months, don't wait two weeks - see your GP now.
