TMI question about discharge

This could get graphic, if you're queasy about this sort of thing then look away now.

I had DC2 three months ago via EMCS. All healed brilliantly if I do say so myself, no problems, no pain. I haven't had a period yet but they didn't return for six months after DC1 so I'm not worried.

This past week I've noticed that I've had a big increase in discharge, lots and lots of it, enough to need a pantyliner which I've never needed before except in late pregnancy. Even DP has noticed it during intimate moments because it's suddenly increased in that regard too. It's been clear and watery for the main but then tonight was really thick and stretchy in massive amounts (here's the TMI), when I went to the loo earlier I had a big glob of it and then again on my next loo trip, it looked like I'd blown my nose on the paper but clear with white streaks

I'm betting there's a rational explanation but please assure me I'm not going daft. Anyone else had this and what was it caused by? Is it a post-birth hormonal thing? I didn't have it with DC1!

Happened to me too recently. Return of my period I'm afraid.

I was thinking it could be all of that gearing up again. Haven't had one in over a year so was hoping I'd get a reprieve!

Happened to me too, I was worried I was pregnant again because I had sore boobs and was really tired all of the time. Test was negative and period arrived two days later.

Yep my discharge goes like that a couple of days before periods arrive, my periods are pretty hellish too. I always pass a 3 inch long bloody clot on day two of my period and before it comes out, I have really bad contractions that make want to moo for Great Britain.

I would get checked out with gp as I had this after my section & was an infection. I has no other symptons other than. Lots of discharge.
