Dry tongue

I hope someone out there can help, my Tongue is bone dry and it's making me really uncomfortable. I'm drinking lots of fluids and I am producing lots of saliva, but still, the top of my Tongue is dry and tingling. Anyone know of a cure? TIA.

When I feel unquenchably thirsty, I such an ice cube.
It gives a constant trickle of liquid as it melts in your mouth.
