Side effects from 8 week jabs? Would you delay them?

My LO has her 8 week jabs on the 20th and we are going to stay with my folks for Christmas on the 21st. I've been reading a few things online about potential side effects (fever, being fussy etc) for days afterwards and wondered how common it is? Anyone know?

Would it do any harm for me to delay them until after Christmas?

I don't mean this to sound like I selfishly don't want to ruin my Christmas! It's more that she's very sensitive to her surroundings/environment at the moment anyway (it will be a lot busier and louder over Christmas than it is usually here) and I don't want to upset her further.

It wont do any harm to wait a week or two. They aim to get the first set done between 8 and 12 weeks.

The only effect the first jabs had on my son was to make him a bit grizzly that evening. The next 2 jabs you wouldn't have known he had any.

....whereas my dd was fine first two, little grouchy but nothing major, but has just had her 4 month jabs and been much more unsettled.

I met a lady in the clinic whose daughter was 10 weeks old and was having first jabs, so it seems whenPascha.. is right. Xmas Smile

Thanks ladies. I did put them off, she's having them on the 28th now.

Unfortunately she's now got a cough and cold so ovbiously I'm worrying it's something more serious..

I had to delay them again because she had a high temperature with her cold (doctor advised to delay).

I'm glad I did because she's had them today and has been either asleep or crying since, despite having some calpol. Not fun :(
