My 8 month old boy has recently started vomiting after meals, as in straight after while still in his high chair and I've still got the spoon in my hand. It started off with a great big alarming projectile puke where he brought up the entire contents of his wee tummy (apologies, I realise it's teatime) but that didn't happen again for a week or so. No he seems to throw up roughly every other day, never as much as the first time, but still a fair quantity. He used to have reflux, but never threw up with it. Could it be that? Or a bug? There's no pattern to it, sometimes he eats a frozen puree thing and is fine, but two days later the same meal makes him sick. Is this just a normal baby thing?!

Hi happyhat, My son use to always be sick so much so that the poor thing was nicknamed 'billy blurb' He's 5 now and fine but this carried on until he was 14 months and walking about but if i was you i would get your baby checked over by the doctor just to be on the safe side, especially as he once had reflux

maybe because of the reflux he is sick if he's too full up. my dd used to be sick when she finally got into eating solids as she didn't know when to stop eating and would then be sick. she now pushes the spoon away with her hand when she's had enough. i would talk to a health professional though to see what they advice.

My DD went through a phase of this - it lasted until she was about 13-14 months. But hers was every day for about a week, and then nothing for 4 weeks.
