WWYD - DS losing weight

DS is 7.5 months and has been puking on and off since Saturday. Also had diarriah, but this has slowed down to one or two runny poos a day, which is in line with his regular movements (sorry if TMI!).

He's off nearly all food. Puking after any solid 'meal' but keeping down small amounts of milk and water. I've been letting him have snacks at meal times instead - spelt bicuits and bread. But he's having a couple of bites and then giving up.

He's cut two top teeth and looks like he has a third coming through as his cheek is still v.red.

Unsurprisingly, he's losing weight. I haven't had him weighed, but his clothes are really baggy and I can feel bones where there's usually a good layer of chub! I can also tell just looking at him and holding him.

I took him to GP on Tuesday as I was worried - he's not a pukey baby I might add, so this is really out of character! GP made me feel like a neurotic first mother " you seem more worried about this than him". No temperature and although clingy and whingy, OK.

WWYD - do I take him back if he carries on puking? Or do I just wait and see...but for how long?

I would contact your health visitor if doc not being very helpful.
The main thing is to make sure he gets enough water so he doesn't get dehydrated. It might be best to keep him off milk until the sickness stops but again, speak to health visitor first.
