For several years now on and off I've gotten this strange feeling it occurs in the centre of my chest right between the boobs and brings on a strange feeling thats rather like a panic attack but less so.

I can't really explain it, I don't get dizzy or anything but I feel strange and unwell for awhile.

I doesn't happen all the time, I've only experienced it when doing particular things, I.E sitting in front of an LCD screen either playing games or using PC's, it started at work where I found it very difficult to work on one project where I was sat in front of a 62" plasma.

I'm not sure if thats the reason for it or if I'm just finding excuses but the GP had no idea what it could be, she suggested indigestion as there are no organs in that area.

Any ideas?

Next time it happens, try giving yourself a cup of tea and some space to sit quietly and think about how you feel, and see what comes up?

I do stress over things, I'm pretty much a hypochondriac and get depressed, but why would it happen when I'm playing games, thats the time when I'm totally focused on the game not anything else so not stressed.

Virtua Tennis, Fallout 3 (if I played it at night) and Zelda OOT if I play it in 3D, thats what I've had it happen on, especially the Fallout 3 (all fallouts are perfectly fine if I play them in day light).

I sometimes ger randomly stressed when relaxing, I think it is your brain catching up with the day.

Perhaps it's your posture when you are sat down?
