Feel free to call me fungus face, in fact I might change my name to that. I have had what I thought was some sort of eczema, dry skin on my face for months. I usually use clinique moisturiser as I have sensitive skin. I had a slightly rough red area around my mouth and chin and I started exfoliating it because it was so rough. But the worst thing was the itching. At night my face itches and drives me crazy. I experimented with sensitive skin products and detergents etc all to no avail. After a sleepless night spent scratching my face, I went to the doctor and apparently I have a fungal infection in the skin on my face.
I am forced to ask myself, has DH been putting his athletes foot on my face when Im asleep? What is also worrying is that DGD age 6 who often creeps into bed with me complains of itching arms and legs. I cant see anything and she also has eczema so we use emollients on her, but Im worried in case she has caught it.
Has anyone else had fungus on their face???
