Feeling sick/ibruprofen

I have always taken ibruprofen with no problems up until recently I have noticed I feel REALLY sick after taking even one dose.

Just looked on the NHS website guide thingy and it says this is a side effect - ok, but why after using it all these years would I suddenly not be able to take it ? Confused Anyone throw any light on it?

NSAIDs (which ibuprofen is one) can cause stomach lining problems. I don't know if this is what has happened to you - however when I was on long-term NSAIDs I had to take another medication to counter the side effects of feeling sick (was my inflamed stomach lining). Are you taking a lot of ibuprofen or just occasionally? Need to take them after food (though I am assuming you do this!).

No, just now and again, maybe every 4 - 6 weeks and only one dose and that is enough to make me feel so sick I am hugging a bucket all day! I think I will just stick to paracetamol from now on.
