have you got any piriton? I wouldn't put medicated lip balm on, one of the best things i've found is vaseline lip therapy it comes in plain and also with aloe vera, which i would say is the best. its only 99p a tin and lasts months

My daughter's exactly the same. i've always sworn by blisteze-blistex now i think!- it stings for the first couple of minutes but it does calm the lips down a bit.has your child had a stuffed up nose etc aswell?

Please, please watch over her. My DD started out like this and my thread titled, "DD been in hospital Kawasaki or Stevens Johnston" further down this list followed a distressing hospital time.

Not meaning to panic anyone but after the swollen lips DD took god-awful mouth ulcers and is just deteriorated.

Has she been on any medication?

Hi Aimsmum, hows your dd?

Didn't mean to be scary but my dd started off just exactly the same the week before christmas and had also not be overly well beforehand.

She just kept getting worse and worse, her lips and mouth kept swelling, ulcers came everywhere in her mouth, her throat got very infected and her tonsils got so big they nearly touched. She couldn't eat, drink or take medicine, took a big temperature that wouldn't respond and then after two days an all over body rash which started to blister as did her lips. We had Christmas in the hopsital.

I hope your dd is just fine, I'm probably just a bit sensitive to hear about swollen lips......
