my gran died of breast cancer, my mum had her breast removed due to pre cancer cells and now i have found a lump, i found it on tuesday and thought i had been bit as it also had a red mark, but its still there and the lump feels more inside than on the surface, its a little tender but not much, i am going to try and make an appointment with the docs this morning, but its very hard to get am appointment on the day, i know i will be put on the list for the nurse/doc to phone back, i have hid my worry to dp, but i am really scared, i have 4 young dc's, please hold my hand, crying as i am writeing this.

Holding your hand

Don't let the Drs receptionist fob you off

Hand holding and hugs.

Hope everything's ok. There could be several reasons for a lump try and think positively

many thanks, been to docs and she is almost 100% sure it is an infection, so have got 7 days of antibiotics and if it has not gone then i have to go straight back, so fingers crossed it clears up and goes, this morning i was having a bit of a wobble, with the sudden thought i was going to have to get my head out of the sand and go see the doc as it was notgoing to go away, many thanks i feel better now and will be 100% happier when its gone, will update in a week.
i love mumsnet such lovely people always here for hand holding and surport.

Most lumps do turn out to be benign. Hope it clears up with the anti biotics. Are you in a screening program because of your family history? Treatment has greatly improved over the years. There is a supportive thread on general health called tamoxifen which you would be very welcome to drop into for a Brew.

many thanks, i am due to be screened next year when i am 40, which i think is earlier than normal
