Feel embarrassed about this, but name changing is a faff.

After the dcs I had slight piles, after dc2 there were times that they would bleed, but that was about a year ago and no problems since.

About 6/7 weeks ago I had a mirena fitted, I then got a raging pelvic infection which meant 2 lots of AB'S (one of which was Metronidazol) I then developed thrush (no great surprise really) I got the caneston duo, all cleared up fine.

The last week I have felt like I have thrush again, so back on the caneston, and I got some acidophilus (sp?) Capsules to see if they would help my health generally. So, I feel like I have thrush, but now the piles have flared up and I have a couple of like tiny scratches that sting around my perineaum, is this probably from the irritation or something worse?

You can get thrush around the anal area too, so this may be the problem but see your GP. Don't be embarrassed - we look at bottoms all day every day!

Get thee to thy GP. You do not need to be in this amount of discomfort.

Turps, you make it sound so glamorous! :o

It has actually been better this afternoon just stings the irritated bits when I go for a wee and if I sit on the loo too long then my piles are very sore (god, I'm attractive!) I had just been using caneston cream, but decided earlier to try the germaloids cream, so maybe that is why it is better?

Should I perhaps use savalon or sudocreme instead?

Not Savlon , sudocrem fine or a good moisturiser like Diprobase.

Luckily we have possibly every moisturiser known to man due to DD's eczema! I tried sudocreme, but actually the one that made the big difference was germaloids. I have been taking the acidophilus probiotic capsules for a couple of days now and the thrush is much better this morning, is that coincidence? Or would they really make that much difference? Thank you for your advice, it really is very much appreciated :)

May be co-incidence but they certainly won't do any harm. The other thing I'd recommend is washing your lady bits with a moisturiser, rather than soap or shower gel. Put the moisturiser on like a soap then rinse off. Also pure cotton knickers & washing them at 60 degrees as cooler washes may not kill yeasts. Hope it's better soon Smile

Thank you again :)

I wonder if the double AB's have just upset my gut a bit and it needs a bit of help to balance out again iyswim? But I shall certainly do everything you have suggested!
