Is there any point seeing GP for feeling exhausted?

I have anaemia, am on iron tablets, have 2 DC to look after and am not getting enough sleep (Thanks to DD) so feel constantly drained.
Is it just a case of trying to rest where possible or is there anything I can get from doctor to perk me up?

I would go to the GP because there is normal tired and there is feeling totally drained. Exhaustion when combined with anaemia can be a sign of other things so it is worth being checked out. If you get a decent night's sleep do you feel better or still drained?

def worth chatting to the GP - just keep an open dialogue rather than soldiering on and suffering when it might nit be necessary.

Agree with shrinkingnora - if you still feel drained even after a decent night's sleep it's definitely worth seeing your GP. I struggled for months thinking I was just being pathetic, when in fact my kidneys weren't functioning properly.

I'm a GP and I would check you for other physical causes of tiredness (as well as the anaemia) e.g. hypothyroidism, diabetes. I would also want to check whether you are suffering from depression as this is a common cause of tiredness.

I went to the GP a few months back for tiredness (and another related but irrelevant issue to this thread) GP ordered a number of blood tests - anaemia, thyroid, diabetes, kidney, calcium etc. definitely worth going back.
