could be a simple infection

Northernlurker · 23/11/2011 18:31

I agree urine infection is most likely - I assume he had some symptoms hence GP visit?

McDreamy · 23/11/2011 18:31

Most likely to be an infection.

Geordieminx · 23/11/2011 18:58

No, no symptoms, tests as part of impotence problems Sad

If it is a urine infection your husband must take antibiotics to get rid of it. UTIs don't go of their own accord and can cause permanent kidney damage. This is one occasion where he must take the doctors advice.

Geordieminx · 23/11/2011 20:22

He hasn't got any medication yet, just a letter from the GP to ask him to make an appointment to discuss. Sad

well the fact that it came in a letter shows its not too urgent. When DH blood results came back with real nasties the urgent care team called us at home at 10pm at night!! told to go straight to hospital. hth

most likely cause is a UTI x

VivaLeBeaver · 23/11/2011 21:50

If an infection had got to his kidneys chances are hed know about it, be feeling quite unwell as well as bad lower back ache. I'd say a simple uti as well.

Northernlurker · 23/11/2011 22:15

I absolutely agree with Lisa. I work in the NHS and we do not write to you asking you to call at your convenience if we are freaked out by your results Grin

lisad123 · 23/11/2011 23:04

no they call you at home and freak you out Grin

Geordieminx · 24/11/2011 08:15

I guess iwas just wondering whether it could've connected to the impotence. As he has had a number of tests over the past few months and nothing has really come to light.

He has no symptoms of a UTI apparently Hmm

Thanks NL, hope you and yours are all ok.
