Please advise if you have any knowledge of this,I'm desperate.

Have been waiting for years for various reasons, for an op to fix my prolapses and vaginal hysterectomy.Am going in on monday for op on tues.

Problem-have a finger infection, paronychia.Started strong antibiotics yesterday(flucloxacillin 500mg) but will only have done 5 days not 7 on tues.

I'm really scared they will cancel the op if I tell them the whole truth.I am planning to tell them I finished the course. My finger looks much better already.

What do you think? this has taken a lot of organising to do the op now.Not least getting parents to cancel thier holiday to look after my 4 kids.

Please tell me this is still going to happen.

Tell them the truth, but I'm sure they will go ahead, as its in your finger. You need the whole course of anti bs, and its not like you'll be in a fit state to take them yourself on Tues/Weds, so they'll give them to you.

I had an infection in my toe when I went for my pre op on a Friday and the nurse got me to go to gp for antibiotics. Hadn't quite finished the course when I had the op the following Thursday, but there was no problem - I just told them what I was taking and finished the course after the op.
