havent been able to find the strings on my merina coil? havent for years in fact. and next summer it needs to be removed? should i carry on looking for them, just in case its shifted somewere? (they cant be far away)

oh, right, logical . mine shifted quite a bit , lots of stabbing pains a it found a new angle to settle in....

i suppose they did the ultrasound to find it before removing?

No, just to check it was still in there so that I had contraception Smile

They can insert a little brush to retrieve the strings and remove it for you.
