Just been dx. I am 39, married with 2 young dc.

GPs answer for my pain (had spd with my last pg and last year a herniated disc in my back) is to throw ADs at me which I do not feel are helpful and dont help me sleep anyway.

Just wondered if any of you have any tips/advice on how to deal with the pain without taking pain meds every day or if you have found any alternative therapies that helped?

TIA x

Never had any hypermobility MrsC, though I remember my sister doing weird things with her thumbs when we were children!
Took my amitriptyline last night. Felt fine, not drowsy at all...then DH came to bed and I apparently slurred at him for five minutes then zonked out!
Joints in hands bad today, but that's par for the course after I've had a busy day.

Upped my amitriptyline to 20 during a bad spell and I know I should go back down to 10 again but don't know if I want to rock the boat as on week 3 of low pain.
