Wasn't sure where to post this as I can't find an "addictions" topic. DH smokes, not me, been smoking since he was 14, he's now 46 and desperately wants to stop. He's tried to stop several times since i've known him using various methods but has never succeeded. The longest he's gone is about six weeks and then started again. The only thing he hasn't tried is hypnotherapy. He's sceptical about it although has heard some positive stories from colleagues who say it worked for them. He's also heard other people say how crap it is, waste of money etc. etc.
I'd like to hear your experiences, good or bad because I think he at least ought to try it and if it doesn't work then he can at least say he's tried everything. Also if anyone has any recommendations for any in the North West that would be great.
He rang a few last night who sounded very dubious. One of them said to him "what have you tried to help you quit". Hubs said "patches, cold turkey, the Alan Carr book...". Bloke said "Alan Carr? you mean the comedien"......Enough said!
