Shes only 25 and complained of hammering headache blurred vision tingling down side of face. NHS direct told her hospital immediately. A&E vital signs ok. But still got tingling. Bad headache nausea. They say they are ginna do a CT scan and lumbar puncture. Anyone know what these tests could mean!

CT scan to rule out cerebral bleed and or swelling.
LP to rule out meningitis.
I get the above symptoms with migraines

Given her age the most likely thing will be migrane.
The ct will rule out any bleeding or tumour. The lumbar puncture checks the fluid surrounding the brain. This can show small bleeds (too small for the scan to see) infection or raised pressure.
I'm sure the tests will al be ok and they are just being cautious

Thanks McQueasy. I feel much better reading your posts. Keeping everything crossed.
