How do I get a private appointment?

I need a colonoscopy; do I just ring the Bupa hospital?
Or do I need a letter from the GP

Will do

He will either convince me I'm fine or,
Persuade me I can wait until the end of Feb for tests
Or refer me for tests sooner (I guess - I don't actually know that; I could be spectacularly wrong)

Got a letter "because I have refused 3 appointments" (I'm away) I have to wait 13 weeks for an appointment

I saw the consultant privately this morning; feel a bit bad about queue jumping

Well if you are willing to pay then the consultants will gladly take your money rather than the NHS fees.

But I am not travelling without insurance & I think the NHS approximately 21 week wait before I get a colonoscopy is ridiculous
