Ok so so far ds3 has given it to ds2 - the rest of us are unaffected,
symptoms = cough, runny nose paint red cheeks and loose bowels.

Cure - sleep and calpol

Mine is chronic sick and diarrhea (sp?) - so far ds2 has passed it to dh. ds1 and me currently safe....but for how long!

codswallop · 02/11/2003 13:39

Keep a way!

My dh has given it to dd1, dd2 seems unaffected must be those b/feeding anti-bodies I hear about. Dh behaving appallingly like a child, endless stream of tissues and dirty linen, feel like Florence f***g Nightingale and praying I don't get it as house likely to self combust.
On the plus dd1 is back to pre-school tomorrow and think she should be well enough.

FineVintage · 02/11/2003 13:42

DD is healthy, but grumpy (overtired). I, on the other hand, feel like I've been hit by a truck full of vodka and NZ Sauvignon Blanc

Hughsie · 02/11/2003 13:43

I'm painting a black cross on the front door and as I keep being puked on I am in no fit state to go anywhere. Poor dh doesn't know whether he is coming or going and has just whacked his face on the bathroom door in his haste to get there in time - bless.

ds2 is a little better but cant keep anything down still. Oh the joys of parenting...nursing...cleaning and slopping out...yuk!

Beccarollo · 02/11/2003 13:44

I have just started to get over it - DP is unaffected - probably because he hasnt been near us enough to catch anything as he is always ouy (grrr)

Baby is still snuffly but on the mend and DD just has cute husky voice

FineVintage · 02/11/2003 13:51

DH had the trots the night before last, I put it down to something he'd ate but on reflection it could have been a dodgy bug. Everyone else in the house has managed to avoid it.

suedonim · 02/11/2003 14:01

Aw, bless, I've BTDT so many times, I really feel for you all. Stomach bugs have to be The Worst Thing about having children. Get well wishes coming your way, everyone.

codswallop · 02/11/2003 14:12

Just lethargy here really and snot.

JanHR · 02/11/2003 14:36

DD has passed it to me and DP. She has a constantly runny nose and hates getting it wiped. I have an absolutely thumping headache and DP is generally feeling lousy.

codswallop · 02/11/2003 14:40

Poor you. at least in our house we are not affected...

I wou;d like to add that we have had a lovely w/e though - really lazy and warm and friendly - funny how all staying in can sometimes be great

codswallop · 03/11/2003 08:03

throckenholt · 03/11/2003 08:52

our household is grim at the moment - DS1 has been ill for nearly 2 weeks (started with lethargy and temperature, developed into cold and cough, now just grumpy). DS2 & DS3 and DH got it last weekend (all feverish and runny noses and coughing fits and grumpy) - me I've had it since Wednesday (very grumpy ). Little sleep for anyone because repeated coughing fits through the night.

By all accounts this thing last 2 weeks so we still have a week to go , but at least DS1 should be out the other side soon.

Where did my happy little boys go ? .....

codswallop · 03/11/2003 08:55

ditto throck..... friend said hers got better and then relapsed...

OP posts:
codswallop · 03/11/2003 09:20

OP posts:
Sari · 03/11/2003 10:09

We're starting second week of this. DH and ds1 mainly recovered but ds2 miserable still. He has had one proper meal in the last eight days, cough, cold, loose bowels, not sleeping. But we're not as bad as some as you - so far I've been fine, just a bit fed up with it.

CountessDracula · 03/11/2003 10:33

We've all had it for 1 week + though dh didn't get the runs dd & I did.

Bored of feeling ill.

codswallop · 03/11/2003 14:36

Have jsut sniffed otrivine - will that help?
