Why are you getting it checked again? Have your symptoms changed?

KatyMac · 08/11/2011 18:20

Yes quite a bit over the years, but I have been passing blood

I think it's because I have an allergic reaction to something I have eaten; but the GP didn't believe me, so off to the hospital I go

Just realised that's 8 week away, which seems long to me

hi Katymac,

I've had ibs for more than 20 years now. I'm also facing the joy of the camera! I've been having problems with my ibs for 4/5 months now, mainly going more often than usual and occasional constipation. I have health anxiety and have been going through a really stressful time so that does'nt help my stomach issues.

Just wondering what your symptoms are and how old you are.

8 weeks does seem a long time to wait, i've been told it'll br about 4 weeks.

I hope you manage to get a sooner appt.

Tracey.

I think I had a bad reaction to coconut a few weeks ago; it caused terrible cramps & bleeding & pain for about 2 weeks after

But the GP says that it's not possible as my allergies are 'contact' allergies not food allergies

But if I use some cosmetics or toiletries on my skin it gets a rash, blisters, cracks then bleeds.....which sounds like what happened to my insides

But I have also had more mucus & pain over the last year or so, I guess it's reasonable to get it checked out

But I did think that a long wait
