I have a 9 month old baby who sleeps reasonably well but i am constantly tired, almost exhausted, night sweats, palpatations.
I have been to Doc who tested me for Thyroid, Blood Count, Kidney, Liver Function etc etc but everything has come back clear!
I cannot get another appointment until next Monday to go back.
Has anyone ever had the same symptoms? would love to hear from you as feeling really down that they havent found out what is causing this!!
Would love to hear your comments/advise.

Hi do you suffer insomnia, I know you say you are tired but do you fall asleep easily? the symptoms do sound like a thyroid condition, but if it has come back clear. then maybe the dr needs to do more checks.

Hi there.
I manage to fall asleep ok but then wake most nights and cannot get back to sleep. I thought it was the same (Thyroid) but apparently not! Will have to wait til next monday and see what more tests they can offer me!

Are you looking after yourself properly when you're awake? Are you eating well? If you are having night sweats, are you replacing fluids with plenty of water, and salts/minerals with the right foods? Are you getting nay time off during the day? Do you rest when your baby naps or charge around doing jobs? Sometimes really bad exhaustion can have an emotional cause - you need a break but don't get one so your body tries to sneak a break by wanting sleep.

Thanks Racingheart, to be honest no I don't eat well (never seem to have the time) I rarely get a break from being a mum although I do try and rest when DD is asleep in the day, it just doesnt seem to be having any effect. Maybe I do need a break (or to sleep for a week!!), unfortunately I do not seem to have anyone to take DD for the day, my DH works long hours so I suppose I do end up taking on the role of Mum and Dad.
