I think I'm going mad, its like I've lost the ability to sleep...
Have had a month of terrible teething with DS and the contiual broken nights must have led to this. Am trying stuff from homeopath but not working, trying everythng people are telling me too do to relax but its like my brain can't stop...
I even took a valium that someone gave me tonight which was totally irresponsible considering i have 2 young kids. All thats done is dehydrate me and make me feel crummy.
I'm breastfeeding so this makes things even worse as my milk supply is really dwindling now..
Please help........

Go to the doctors. I had insomnia for two and a half months last year and I felt like I was going crazy. The only thing that helped me even slightly apart from drugs was listening to my baby sleep music. That way my brain seemed to focus on that rather than racing along like it was before. Also, no computers after about 4.30.

I went to the doctors and got some sleeping pills eventually as I was so exhausted. I was supposed to take a quarter but it made me feel all heavy and dreadful so I scraped the edge with my teeth and that seemed to work. It broke the non-sleeping cycle and then I stopped taking them.

Have you got any relaxation CD's Brighton?

Have you got a buddist centre near you? I find meditation is very good for sleep, if you can't get to one there are some guided meditations on YouTube.

You could try taking piriton, that's fine when breast feeding :)

Hope you're zzzzzzing now :)

go to the docs today. You may be able to take something that wont stay in the system for long and there fore wont affect breast milk. It is torture I know.
