Does the pill make you Fat???

Dh is fed up of using condoms but we wernt able to use a hormone based contraceptive because i had imbalances that over the last few months have sorted themselvs out. So now he wants me to go on the pill.

What are the pros and cons, and does it really make you put on weight?

Dont like the idea of the coil - just makes me feel wierd about have something stuck up there perminatly (as opposed to for 2 mins when dh gets his way )

We tried the female condom - never again!

Any suggestions?

actually i hav got myself thinking about how many times me and dh have sex.

Usually twice a day, occassionally 3 times if the boys are at nursery. I think thats far too much as its crap and does nothing what so ever for me.

Now to wean dh off this much sex i should...???

I took the pill for a month and put on 3 kilos (probably all water), it's hanging around like a bad smell even 4 months later.

I had a coil fitted and it's been excellent - get your GP to show you one, honestly if you have had a babies head come out of there this tiny little coil ain't going to phase you!

I like the idea of having something up there an awful lot more than having synthetic hormones inside me. Plus if you get the Mirena coil your periods stop. I just have a normal coil.

Bloody hell, dh would drop dead if we went at it at that rate!

Our best was 7 times in a weekend, but we were young and in love and we only saw each other one weekend a month at the time!

I'd tell him , quality, not quanity. Of you don't make it,, neither should he! (dh is a gentleman in that department....he'd die of shame if he finds out I posted that )

twice a day at a few minutes a time doesnt take up that much time and leaves plenty of spare minutes for mnning!

I think its just lack of effort on his part grrr he just cant be bothered, his main focus is on his pleasure instead of me or my pleasure.
