Hi

Just wondering if I need to make an appointment to see my doctor to get a prescription for the contraception pill that I'm on or if I can get one any other way?

can't you just ring the surgery and get a renewal?

If you have a local family planning clinic they'll do it. Your practice nurse may be able to but usually only if your GP has already prescribed it for you and it's on your Gp records.

HTH.

Sorry, should clarify - you'll need a blood pressure check which is why it'll need an appointment (though strictly speaking you only need a BP check once a year while on the pill).

You can only get it on precription either from a family planning clinic or a doctor.

Thank you for your replies. I'll give the docs a ring in the morning and see what they say
