Hair loss after pregnancy

Hi, dc3 is 7 months and I'm still experiencing severe hair loss. I know it's normal to lose hair after pregnancy, and experienced this with first two, but this time it seems much worse. My hair is noticeably thinning, although not patchy. Also, my scalp at the crown has become slightly sore and red in the last month or so, which I have not experienced before.

Anyone else suffered from hair loss with red sore, scalp? Any ideas what could be causing this, or is it just normal post-pregnancy?

I had this after having my ds(11 months now) and have just been diagnosed with an under active thyroid, have you experienced anything else? feeling dizzy, dry skin, very tired.....tricky i know as you probably feel tired running around after 3 kids! just a thought : )

Actually, yes, I have seriously dry skin at the moment. But my skin is usually quite dry anyway. Tiredness - no what's that?! yes, I do get a dizzy, tired feeling quite often - maybe I should go to the doc and get my thyroid checked out. I just assumed it went with the territory of having 3 kids...
