My periods have become really long and drawn out. For about three days beforehand I get brown spotting, then I have a normal period. Bleed for about 3 days. Then I'll have anything up to a week of more brown spotting. I can never really work out what day 1 is, but I'm assuming it's the first day of proper bleeding, and going by that they're still as regular as they ever were. I'm 41 so is this a hormonal shift or start of menopause or something?
