i would be very grateful for any recommendations for a good dentist (preferably also child-friendly for ds) in clapham, brixton, balham, herne hill, dulwich or thereabouts. nhs isn't a must but if they do take nhs patients would expect to be treated with basic politeness (unlike my current dentist, pah! see crap customer service thread).

thanks in advance

I had a really good one in Clapham, I am trying to remember the address but they were supberb, fanciable dentist (and I am a woman who needs to be drugged to go), they specialise in nervous patients and I caouldn't recommend more highly.

I think it was called teh Clapham dental practice, but I will check.

bossykate I really can't seem to find it, I have looked on yell.com and come up with nothing!! He was on battersea rise, just near the nice french restaurant/bistro, above a newsagent I think! Do you know the area well, do you know where I mean?? He may well have moved now, I used him about 5 yrs ago (gosh have I lived out in the sticks for that long!!) I wish I could find him as he really was yummy!!

thanks to all for these suggestions. i'm sorry i haven't been back to thank you before now, combination of limited internet access on a week's hol plus mad work schedule.

crunchie - yes i do know the one you mean. i dropped in there and liked the set-up a lot. as this is the most convenient location for us i think we will go with this one.

thanks so much everyone for these suggestions
