OK - normal hangover for me (when I get them).

Splitting headached, feeling exhausted, just want to sleep (and feel like I haven't slept). Eat like a horse - need food to make me feel 'normal' again. Mild 'runs' first thing in the morning.

This morning - got up, felt groggy (had a good nights sleep), went to the bathroom mild runs (nothing unusual there - sorry for TMI), came to swtich computer on - then had to dash back to bathroom and threw up. No headache at all, haven't wanted to eat anything all day, occasionaly 'cramps' in my stomach - I've drunk gallons of water today - oh and had one banana.

About to have toast - but TBH - just thought of it is making me feel really sick again.

There's a nasty sickness bug going around that comes complete with splitting headache - I started with it on Wednesday and am still not feeling well.

MrsBubsDeVere · 26/12/2005 18:59

I would say that this isn't a hangover. It sounds more like a bug especially with the cramps, constant nausea and lost of appetite.

Haven't had a headache at all (very unusual for me) - just feel really sick

I wouldn't have anything to eat, just drink lots of fluids and have an early night, best to flush it out of your system.

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 26/12/2005 19:02

hahah - early night???? I'm working tonight

Also, sip it and if you can bear it, drink it at room temperature as if it is too cold, it may aggravate the cramps.

MrsBubsDeVere · 26/12/2005 19:03

OH no, what do you do?

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 26/12/2005 19:03

sip what??

Care Assistant in a Residentail home - far to late to call in sick now - especially as they're having staffing problems for the nights........

If it's a sickness bug you shouldn't be going to work, particularly with elderly people.

MrsBubsDeVere · 26/12/2005 19:04

that's true, the last thing you want is the old dears coming down with something

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 26/12/2005 19:05

I've only been sick once - and that was about 12hrs ago... Just feel sick [frown]

they say that if you have a sickness bug, you are still contagious for 24hours after the last time you were sick.

MrsBubsDeVere · 26/12/2005 19:07

AND if you are quite busy and running about, you may feel even worse halfway through the shift.

SueW · 26/12/2005 19:42

Any chance you are pregnant?

HRHQueenOfQuelNoel · 27/12/2005 16:36

well only just got back online now - went to work - wasn't sick again - but did feel pretty cr*p all night. Been in bed since I got home this morning at 8am - until about 20 minutes ago - apart from being absolutely starving (haven't eaten properly since Christmas day - feeling much better.

And no - no chance I could be pregnant
