The Curse of Athlete's Foot

I'm practically crippled by horrid oozing sores on my foot at the moment- can't walk very well and am v sad! Has anyone got any magic cures? My GP is sympathetic in a drily amused way- he's given me a strong anti-fungal cream and told me to return in a week so he can refer me to a skin specialist if there's no improvement. He also laughed a lot at the trouble toes can cause and was less than full of bright ideas about how exactly I combine looking after my preschoolers, studying and temporary invalidity. Meanwhile, I'm useless in all practical senses, in a fair amount of pain and a constant state of mild panic at all the things I'm having to leave undone. Are there any complimentary treatments anyone can think of?

Tea tree oil. Stings but used regularly works marvels!

There was a discussion on Radio 2 about a fortnight ago, and apparently it's very difficult to diagnose. I got rid of mine in the summer, then got re-infected from a pair of shoes that I hadn't worn for ages... so try spraying all your shoes & slippers to stop the re-infection.

I sympathise with sore toes - our new kittens have discovered pink wiggly worms at 3am, and shredded my toes. Not very amusing when hobling around with shoes full of plasters.

hope your feet gets better soon.
