How to tell if this is a water infection

DD has had a temperature since last night, we have been giving her calpol and ibuprofen, but she is burning up and there is a smell from her nappy, she is also drinking loads of water, could this be a water infection does anyone know?

Hi,

Would see your GP asap and ensure they take a urine sample at the same time for analysis. UTI's if this is what it is can be treated with antibiotics but they can be nasty things to endure.

jenk, if your little ones temp doesnt go down i would go to casualty, its better to be safe than sorry .

thanks, we took her to casualty and they kept her in for the night
