I've had dry eyes for about a week. This coincides with having a throaty/sinusy lurgy. It also coincides with us having a puppy. I've never shown symptoms of dog allergy before and grew up with a dog. No itching anywhere, just the super annoying tired/dry eye thing and since yesterday the throaty thing. Does this sound allergic to you? Or virusy?

No idea on cause! very helpful, I know. Could be either, in my not remotely medical opinion, or have you taken any decongestants for sinus thing that may have casued dry eyes?

Anyway, my reason for posting was not actually that great 1st paragraph, but was to recommend Viscotears. It's a tiny tube of tear replacement gel - not 'medicated' so most people whatever else they are taking should be able to use it. It has honestly helped me loads and loads with my dry eyes. You can buy over the chemist counter, £3 ish, IIRC.

Probably allegic, I have dry eyes anyway, contact lense wearer but when I stroke my cats I tend to get really itchy eyes...

Try revive lubricating eye drops, see if that helps. It could be you oil secreters in your eyes are blocked... Might be sinus related.

They're not a bit itchy, just feel a bit tired and dry. It's weird. Don't look red or anything.
