Sorry long story.
3 months ago I had enlarged lymph nodes in my neck and the doctor said come back if they don't go down........I forgot about them because they weren't painful and didn't go back.
A few weeks ago I got what started as a cold, turned to a severe chest infection which I had antibiotics for (10 days clarythrimycin). 2 weeks later I was still coughing up sputum so went back, feeling really tired all the time and lymph nodes in neck up. Had routine blood test and x-ray which were normal, so no infection/ lung disease obvious. Now 4 weeks later nodes in my neck are still very enlarged, still exhausted, hoarse voice. GP says he thinks this is recovery from the chest infection. I can't help feeling that if there is no infection then the lymph nodes should have gone down by now? He has referred me to a specialist but its for chest, not head/ neck.
Has anyone experienced this length of unwellness from a chest infection?

I know I take quite a long time to get better from chest infections as doe my DD. I don't suppose it could have escalated into Laryngitis which would make you hoarse and your lymph nodes to swell?

:( I would go back if it's not getting any better. It could even be Thyroid related. I hope you feel better soon. x
