Should my periods be starting yet?

My DS is 9 weeks old and I am breast feeding. I had an EMS, and my blood loss finished 3 weeks ago. I have started bleeding again, just the same way as I would do if I was on my period! I thought your periods didn't start until you stopped breastfeeding!?
Anyone got any ideas?

it is normal for them to take a year or more to return if you are bf, it is also normal for them to return much quicker!!
