Alcohol and antibiotics

Can you drink wine if you are on them?I have about one glass left of very nice wine in the fridge and i want to drink it Will pour it down the sink if not but am hoping for yes answers!I have a tooth abcess and it is amoxil

Drink the wine,finish the course of antibiotics,and if you get Diaorrhoea(not good on that spelling!) thats quite normal!

Can depend on the antibiotic, though. If it's Metronidazole you will probably chuck, IME. What are you taking? (Probably not Metranidazole?)

Although even then, with only one glass of wine, you should be OK.

Most just make me feel drunk much more quickly... one though can make you really ill (even just one glass)... dunno what type though!

amoxicillin and I am halfway through the glass!Hope I'm not sick although the tooth isn't hurting so much with the wine so it has some benefits too

You should be fine with Amoxicillin. Unless you're a total lightweight. (hastily added)
