I was scratching my armpit last night and accidently found a small hard peasized lump under my armpit, right near my right breast. The thing is it moves around when I try get hold of it IYSWIM. I'm not due on yet and have never noticed it there before. Has anyone else had this? Will be seeing the GP tomorrow

I have one in the same place, been there for months, I think it is a cyst.

I get this a lot especially before a period.

fairyfly · 11/12/2005 13:52

DH had one and left it for months, when it got bigger he went to Drs and they said he needed a biopsy. They cut it open and it was a cyst. Women get them more apparently cos' they have more lymph nodes in this area. If it starts to hurt or enlarges, you will have to go to you gp, just in case.

Thankyou

Just got scared thats all. My mum has had four lumps removed from her breast over the years (all benign) but she has had thyroid cancer so have always watched for lumps since I can rememeber and finding this it just freaked me out a tad.

will go to gp in the morning.

thanks again [smile)

I've got the exact same thing! Spent nights worrying about it and plucked up courage to go to the doc's last week - he said it was a gland and nothing to worry about, hurrah! Make sure you get it checked out. Xx

Go get it checked out tomorrow but it sounds like a cyst to me. I have one too and Doc was able to tell me what it was straight away. Don't worry.
