Any suggestions for cleaning an infected wound with minimum screamage?

Dd2 fell over, badly scraped knees THEN fell into a dirty pond. (not on my watch, thank god). We bathed her cleaned the wound. Dreams could be heard within a 5 mile perimeter but 3 days on and it's weeping and has pus on it.

Any ideas to save her pain (and our ears)

TIA

I think I'd see the nurse/minor injuries as it's infected she might need it dressing properly or some antibiotic cream

yep, take her to the nurse, it could need a deep cleanse and anti-bac dressing. If the pain is very bad they'll put local on it first

At least the nurse's office would contain the screaming to a small room Blush is that really bad? The nurse will be able to do it very quickly and you can promise chocolate buttons/a lollipop or something after. She might even have stickers, our nurse does.

Or he, of course. (Sorry)
