My periods have stopped

They have been steadily lessening in length and frequency for about 2 years now. They have never been longer than a day or so, recently have found that I only needed one tampon and it would have stopped by late afternoon, but the last couple of periods I haven't used anything at all, there has been a bit of blood on the loo paper when I wiped after going for a wee (TMI, sorry) but none on my knickers iyswim.

Thinking about it the last time I had a period was in early June when I went to my aunts. Nothing since.

I don't feel ill or anything, however I have had ovarian cysts in the past and was in hospital in Fenruary with severe abdominal pain which they said (after an op) was inconclusive and just ovulation pain. Have never had it before or since. Only other symptom is that I have put on a bit of weight recently.

Am I starting the bloody menopause?

No I am definitely not pregnant - 100% sure (have not had sex for months).

go to the GP and ask for blood tests for meno. or it could be thyroid problems, or PCOS, or a whole load of other thigns.

Are you on the pill? I've been on the pill for many years now and I don't get periods any more. The GP said that over time they lesson when you're on the pill. Could that be it?
