I have a few small milia around my eyelid. Have been there for quite a while and I'm keen to get rid of them. Anyone know how to remove them safely? Thanks for your help.

I, er, scraped one off with my thumb nail yesterday. Hurt like a bastard.

Hi, thanks for replying. I'm too scared to use a needle on my eyelid!

I got one under my eye done at sk:n, all they did was tear it open with a bleddy needle. I could have done that myself. Its the kind of pain you are best inflicting yourself. Apparently you have to make sure you get the hard wee white ball totally out.

Ive had/have quite a few millia on my eyelids and cheeks. My mum has manage to ease a couple of them out gently, with nails.
Defintely have to get all the white lump all out.

I still have a few that are more tricky so will watch this thread. Think it'll end up being a sterilised needle though! Ouch!

Pleeeease don't do it yourself! Shock

Very carefully using a clean needle, break the surface of the skin, and get a comedone extractor tool like this and gently pop it out. If it doesn't come out you'll need to go to a beautician who can remove them, the skin around your eyes is very thin, sensitive and likely to scar :)

My mum has got a few. I want to pop them so bad!

Sorry that should be please don't do it yourself if they're on your actual eyelid!

So that's what those things on my eyelids are (just googled milia)! I have one or two on each upper eyelid, have `squeezed' them out like spots in the past, but that's quite awkward and painful to do, and they seem to recur.

Would not want to use a needle on my eyelid!
