baby vaccinations, am confused.

well not really confused, but am wondering. dd3 has had one lot of the vacs at about 3months old, but i havent had much time to get the others done. she is 9months old now, the HV said that she may still need 3lots as its been so long since she had the 1st lot. is that right?

Do you mean the boosters, if so I think they have to be done in a certain amount of months(but diont quote me) your gp is the best person to ask.

I would be careful about giving 3 lots of baby jabs (ask someone in the know- more than a HV) as tetanus can give an allergic type response under certain condituions. Talk to someone you trust.

why do the jabs over 3 courses anyway?

yep look up crelling on google. They're a very friendly small company- give them a bell.

You need 3 jabs to get sufficient protection- really is a booster - not like MMR, but each time you have a tetanus jab you increase the risk of reaction (try asking to have abooster before your 10 years is up- you won;t get one- I had to beg for one (yep me!) 9 years after a previous jab because I was working with wild animals and likely to be bitten- but they were reuluctant and wanted to wait 10 years).
