I think it depends on which pill you are on. I was on one last year and I was a bit permanently PMS on it.
I have a coil now and don't get PMS anymore.

It sure is unbearable. I still don't know what to do. Pill or coil....

I got mild PMS on microgynon. Don't seem to on Cerazette. (Dislaimer - my PMS wasn't bad before I went on the pill so i may not be the best person to comment on this!)

My GP suggested a tri-phasic pill for this, Logynon. It worked for me.
