they'll pump her stomach, or less likely induce vomiting, the timming is key if has been loner than 2 hrs the body has absorbed most of it so she might be really lucky.
Hope she's ok, how dreadful for your friend.

timing longer
scuse dreadful spelling

QueenEagle · 29/11/2005 19:15

Not sure how long she had been like it but I found out thru someone else that she had texted her friend to say she couldnt keep her eyes open and that she'd taken a load of pills.

She has been through some very traumatic things over the last 2-3 years.

God I am shaking, god knows what my friend is feeling. Shit.

sorry to say, but DP did this during his depression. he took two packs, so that would make it about 24 tablets too. he was fine, was monitored, threw up and was discharged from a&e. they did tests afterwards to check for liver and kidney damage and they came back clear.
i really hope she's ok.

My cousin once took 50 and thankfully although very ill for a while he was fine after a few days.

I once took 13, and was sick, and had stomach cramps for a few days after.

LilacBump · 29/11/2005 19:22

also, if there's been alcohol taken too, it would make it a lot more dangerous.
(DP was seen by a psychiatrist a few days later who said he wasn't suffering from depression at all. i could have gone and kicked him.)

Also some of the staff may not be very impressed with her and not be very nice.

Good luck - I hope she's okay! How old is she?

QueenEagle · 29/11/2005 19:47

Right my mate just called. Her bp is either too high or low, she can't remember which. They were concerned about a finger prick blood drop test so are doing a proper one. She's been tagged and is staying in overnight and she will be referred to a counsellor. She is 14 btw. Same as my dd.

I am spitting feathers though. A mutual friend was chatting with me on msn who said she wanted to talk to me, blah, blah, blah. Took her 15 minutes to tell me she had received a text from my mates dd saying she had taken an od. ffs. This same mutual friend is supposed to be sitting for me at the weekend.

How is she now? Hope there's no physical repercussions. Best wishes!
