what are periods like after DC born?

9 months after birth and I'm still bf and have yet to have my period but feel awful today and was wondering if my periods are due to begin again - I've got really bad flu-like symptoms. I was wondering when do periods start for others whilst bf and what are periods like after dc born - better,worse or just different?

After I had my children, my periods (when I have them!) have been painfree. Bloody fantastic! Because I used to suffer horribly. Was regularly sick with the pain.
