sex after ovarian cyst removed?

Hiya, just seeing if anyone has had an ovarian cyst and how long after did they start having sex again? I had the operation 4 weeks ago and wanted to know if its safe to have sex yet? Thankyou

Open op or keyhole? Any complications/wound problems?

If all straight forward, as soon as you feel up to it. If big open abdominal surgery, then I'd say speak to the surgeon esp about wound healing first, but 4 weeks sounds reasonable.

Unless there's a huge amount of swinging off of chandeliers involved

it was open surgery, no complications or wound problems and all pain has gone etc :)

Last year I had a large ovarian cyst and a fallopian tube removed by keyhole, their were no complications and I had painless sex after eight days.Later in the year I had my Gall bladder removed again by keyhole , no complications and again had sex after eight days and thoroughly enjoyed, I guess it all depends on how much you want it!
