DO YOU KNOW OR AS ANTBODY GOT Rheumatoid Arthritis

MY sister has been told she as it, she only 43, and scared, some info of pepole in this situation would be great, looked on site and prety scarie so thats why i would like to find out of somebody who has this.

shes in lots of pain, i thgink shes scared of being in a wheelchair, as shes always been very active,

the biggest problem with arthritis is that you can never tell what might happen .. so there is no real prognosis .. it is the uncertainty that is a killer IMO

arthritis comes in flares .. the medication is so personal that it might take a while to get the right drug / combination for your sister but it can be stabilised

exercise is good for RA I believe ..

I would suggest being careful of online info and support groups .. they are fabulous but always remember that it is those most seriously affected that tend to seek out this kind of support so you will be mainly getting an almost worst-case scenario

My martial arts instructor has RA and has done for some time. I know that he is on quite a large range of meds but he has a great quality of life and is obviously active. There seem to be good patches and not so good patches. He was terrified when he found out he had RA but hasn't allowed it to get the better of him thus far.
